Defined term / workflow

Approval envelope

The typed boundary deciding whether an action runs, needs approval, or must be denied.

Definition

Approval envelopes carry operation kind, workspace, cwd, command-or-patch digest, blast radius, reuse scope, timeout, and actor. The platform's approval policy resolves them at the kernel — case-scoped writes can reuse, destructive operations never reuse, tenant-crossing operations always re-prompt.
