Getting Started

Access, onboarding, and first workspace setup.

Access and sign-in

SimPilot access depends on your deployment and account status:
  • Invite/waitlist flow: some environments gate new accounts behind approvals.
  • Email + password: standard sign-in.
  • Social sign-in: Google and GitHub are commonly enabled (deployment-configurable).
If you already have access, go to /login and sign in.

Onboarding

After first sign-in, SimPilot runs a short onboarding wizard that captures your default preferences.

Welcome

Quick orientation to the platform.

Profile

Optional organization name and your primary use case (academic, industry, research, personal).

Experience Level

Choose beginner through expert to tune guidance style.

Complete Setup

Save preferences and open the main chat workspace.

Anonymous sessions

SimPilot can allow anonymous sessions for quick trials before account creation.
Typical behavior:
  • Limited credits/rate limits
  • Restricted model set
  • Restricted tool set
  • No full simulation execution path
Exact anonymous limits are deployment-configurable.
Persisting work
To persist full history, collaboration state, and account-level settings, use a signed-in account.

Workspace layout

After onboarding, your workspace includes:
  • Sidebar: chats and projects
  • Chat area: main interaction and tool outputs
  • Input bar: model selector, attachments, voice, and optional connectors
  • Settings: profile, models, billing, and connectors
