  3. Sharing & Collaboration

Sharing & Collaboration

Share chats publicly, grant collaborator access, and discuss outputs with comments.

SimPilot supports both link sharing and user-level collaboration controls.

Public sharing

From a chat's share menu, you can switch visibility:
  • Private: only owner/collaborators can access
  • Public: anyone with the link can view
Public links are useful for read-through and external review.

Collaborator access

Owners can invite collaborators by email with role-based permissions:
  • Read: view conversation and outputs
  • Edit: participate directly in the shared chat
Owner controls include access updates and collaborator removal.

Comments

Shared chats support comments tied to messages so teams can review results asynchronously and keep discussion anchored to specific outputs.

Access behavior summary

  • Owners always retain full control.
  • Collaborators follow their assigned read/edit level.
  • Public viewers are read-only unless separately added as collaborators.

Recommended team workflow

  1. Run or refine the simulation in a private chat.
  2. Share with collaborators for review.
  3. Resolve comment threads.
  4. Export final chat/report for handoff.
For export formats, see Exports & Reports.
